Paul W. Leithart II

    Paul Leithart II was born in Columbus, Ohio and has resided in the Columbus area his entire life.  He graduated from Whitehall-Yearling High School in 1973.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan in 1977 with a double major in Business Law and History.  In 1981, he graduated from Capital University Law School, cum laude.  

    Mr. Leithart is licensed to practice in all Ohio trial and appellate courts, the United States District Court and the Sixth and Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  His experience includes representing clients in the Franklin County, Ohio Probate, Municipal, Common Pleas and Domestic Relations courts, several Ohio Courts of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court.  In federal court, he has represented clients in the district courts located in Columbus, Cleveland, Kentucky and in Miami, Florida.  His experience in the Federal Courts of Appeals include the courts in Cincinnati and Atlanta.  He has represented clients in matters which were brought before the United States Supreme Court.  He also has represented clients before various administrative agencies.

    Mr. Leithart's areas of practice include civil litigation, personal injury and insurance law, family law, estate planning, probate and real estate.  His litigation experience includes real estate disputes, landlord-tenant matters, insurance contract issues, libel, injury cases involving traffic crashes, employer-employee disputes, lawsuits between heirs to estates, divorce, custody and support cases.  He is also a licensed National Football League agent.

    Since 1988, Mr. Leithart has been a principal in the firm.  He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association.  He is currently a member of the Common Pleas, Family Law and Sports & Entertainment Law Committees of the Columbus Bar Association.

    Since 1983, Mr. Leithart has resided in Gahanna, Ohio.  During that time he has served in several leadership roles in the community.  He is past president of the Woodside Green Civic Association.  From 1988 through 1997, he was the Director of Public Safety for Gahanna.  He also served on the city's Charter Review Committee.  Currently, he is a member of the Gahanna Civil Service Commission, which is responsible for oversight of the civil service rules and regulations for unclassified employees of the city.

    As a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mr. Leithart has served in a number of leadership positions.  He is currently a member of the Church Council, the Board of Elders and the Board of Education.

    Mr. Leithart has been married to his wife Denise, since 1979.  They have four children.  He and his wife enjoy golfing, travel and spending time with their children.  They manage a small residential real estate company together, and his wife is a ballet instructor.  In addition to golf, he enjoys basketball, softball, reading and political issues.
